62% Increase In Young-Offenders Seeking Mental Health Support In Dublin Children's Detention Campus

The Former Governor of Portlaoise Prison says the decline of young people in detention is a positive trend. 

There's been a 62% increase in young-offenders seeking mental health support in Oberstown Children's Detention Campus in Co Dublin.  

That's one of the standout figures from its annual report. 

The centre welcomed 73 new admissions last year, with 52 returning home.
