Clothes, shoes and accessories top the pecking order for online shopping.

More than 80% of people shop on the internet, mostly for clothes, shoes and accessories.

Seven in ten of people aged over 16 shopped online in the midlands in the past three months, according to figures from the Central Statistics Office.

Women are slightly ahead of men when it comes to online purchases.

58% also ordered ready-made food online.
