A new survey by the Teachers' Union of Ireland highlights the issues faced by the sector.
Offering full-time positions and opportunities for progression are some of the solutions schools can take to recruit and retain teachers.
That's according to the Teachers' Union of Ireland, after their survey revealed 91% of schools have reported difficulties in recruiting teachers.
The survey also revealed 71% of schools advertised jobs in recent months but did not get a single applicant.
