92 Modular Homes To Be Developed For Ukrainian Refugee Accommodation

The site will be brought into use next year.

Over 90 modular homes will be used to accommodate Ukrainian refugees.

The Department of Integration has confirmed 92 temporary units will be developed on a site in Poolboy in Ballinasloe Town.

It's expected the development will be brought into use next year, although the Department is unsure of an exact timeline currently.

It says issues such as remedial works, boundaries and ESB connections have delayed similar projects in the State's humanitarian efforts, and that will need to be considered when predicting a completion date.

An information session regarding the move was held last month, and the Department says a Community Engagement Team has been established to ensure an accurate flow of details to the relevant authorities.
