The animal is severely malnourished and dehydrated according to Offaly SPCA.
A midlands kitten is being treated after it was found in a pile of rubbish.
The animal was delivered to Offaly SPCA after it was found at a dump by two men.
It says the kitten is severely malnourished and dehydrated, and has a similar weight to that of a five-week old, despite being estimated to be older than ten weeks.
It also has conjunctivitis.
Offaly SPCA says it's unclear whether the animal was dumped, or if it wondered into the rubbish on its own.
