Action Needed To Tackle Rural GP Shortage - Troy

Free GP visit cars are being phased in from next month.

More needs to be done to address the shortage of GPS in rural areas.

It comes as from next month, children aged 6-7 will be able to avail of free GP visits.

According to Fianna Fáil TD Robert Troy claims that patients are finding it 'very hard' to get an appointment to see their GP.

Deputy Troy also says that doctors are working 'extraordinary long hours' and are struggling to take time off due to the shortage.
