Youth Council Calls For Action As Most Young Adults Consider Emigration

Nine in 10 18–24-year-olds feel that finding well-paid work is becoming more difficult.

The National Youth Council is calling for targeted action on the cost of living, youth homelessness and barriers to employment.

It comes as new data from the Council reveals most young adults are considering emigrating.

90% of 18 to 24-year-olds believe it's becoming harder to find well-paid work, while housing and affordability continue to be main concerns.

Amanda Keyes, Deputy President for the Midlands TUS Students Union says students won't stick around if there are no options for them once they graduate:
