A midlands drama teacher says she can't accept the reasoning behind the rule.
Over 3,600 people have signed a petition calling on the government to remove the six person limit imposed on indoor gatherings.
It's been created by Performing Arts Educators Ireland, who estimate 70,000 children and young adults attend classes each week.
Owner of Speak Out Drama in Birr and Portaloise Sonya Cuddy is part of the PAEI - her classes usually contain 10 students and two teachers.
She doesn't accept the argument of it being harder to implement social distancing among children:
