Almost 500 On Trolleys Around Ireland Today

17 of those are in the midlands.

481 people are waiting for beds in hospitals around the country this morning.

INMO figures show 332 are in emergency departments, while 149 are in wards.

University Hospital Limerick is worst affected by overcrowding, with 82 patients on trolleys.

That's followed by 43 at Letterkenny University Hospital, and 42 at Cork University Hospital.

There are 17 on trolleys in the midlands with six in Portlaoise and 11 in Mullingar.
