Active Travel grants have just been announced for 2025 by the National Transport Authority.
Almost €9m is being invested into active travel schemes across the Midlands this year.
The National Transport Authority have announced close to €300m in funding for Active Travel Grants nationwide in 2025.
County councils in both Laois and Westmeath will see €3m invested by the NTA, while in Offaly over €2.7m in funding has been announced.
Schemes set to benefit from this include pedestrian crossings, cycling lanes and pedestrian and cycling bridges.
