Almost €80k Going To Laois Flood Defences

It comes after years of flooding issues.

Just under 80,000 is going to Laois for flood defences. 

OPW Minister, and Longford Westmeath TD Kevin Boxer Moran is announcing €78,000 for remedial works on the Manor Road in Mountmellick. 

It comes after years of flooding issues in the town with significant damage done after the river Owenass flooded in 2017. 

12 Laois projects have received funding from the Minor Flood Mitigation Works and Coastal Protection Scheme since its inception in 2009.
