Another Six Boaters Rescued From Lough Ree

This brings to 14 the number of people rescued by Lough Ree RNLI in the last five days.

The RNLI continue to rescue wayward vessels in the midlands today.

Lough Ree RNLI rescued a 46ft cruiser with six people on board east of Hodson Bay.

Volunteer lifeboat ‘Tara Scougall’ launched shortly after midday and quickly reached the boat which had become grounded on rocks west of Beam Island

This brings to 14 the number of people rescued by the Westmeath-based lifeboat service in the past five days.
