Anxiety A Major Factor In Students Missing School

20% of primary and 33% of secondary pupils miss school due to avoidance each month.

Anxiety is one of the main reasons students are missing school, without being physically ill.

The Barnardos study shows a fifth of primary school and a third of secondary school pupils are refusing or avoiding going to school at least once a month.

Social situations and academic pressure are just some of the factors causing anxiety among students.
