Around 1M People In Florida Are Being Evacuated Due To Hurricane Milton

The Hurricane will is hitting the southern US State.

Florida is facing a potentially catastrophic event in the form of Hurricane Milton, according to an Offaly weather expert.

Around 1m people in coastal areas of the state are under evacuation as the Category Five storm hits.

Milton is the sixth strongest Atlantic Hurricane on record, with sustained wind speeds of up to 150mph.

Rhode's Cathal Nolan of Ireland's Weather Channel says the effects could be compared to Hurricane Katrina:
