Social media ban for Under 16s in Australia is "making a big difference", according to an Offaly TD.
This comes as the UK gets set to ban Under 16s from social media from next year, with young people unable to have accounts on TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat and Instagram, under new plans from the British Government.
Taoiseach Micheal Martin says Ireland is looking at potentially introducing the law here.
