Irish Water says the adivsory is a precaution to protect 840 customers in the area, while upgrade works to the disinfection system are underway at the water treatment plant.
Customers are advised to boil water before use until further notice and Irish Water says it's reaching out to inform those affected who are registered as vulnerable.
