An investigation is under way after a 'viable device' was found in Offaly.
The Army Bomb Disposal Unit has since made safe the device and removed it from a premises in the Castleview Park area of Edenderry.
It has been taken away for further examination.
Gardaí were alerted to the item at around midday.
