Bord Na Móna Asked To Commit To Five Year Deal For Workers In Bog Rehab

UNITE trade union says the future needs to be looked at in proper detail.

Bord na Móna is being asked to commit to a five year deal for workers involved in the bog rehabilitation project. 

UNITE trade union is making the request after the semi-state company announced it's ending peat harvesting with immediate effect. 

No timeline has been given as to when the €5 million programme to re-purpose the bogs could come to an end.
