The former head of IPAV says a VAT rate drop for completed apartments is the biggest win for young people in housing in this years Budget.
Measures have been unveiled in the Dail, with Finance Minister Paschal Donohue saying it will drop from 13.5% to 9% from midnight tonight.
This will remain in effect until December 2030.
