Councillor Claire Murray is welcoming the latest step in the delivery of a new pool for the town.
An Offaly swimming pool that was completely destroyed in a fire last year is set to be demolished.
The Edenderry pool has been closed since January and will now be built on a new site.
The new facility is located at Blundell beside the new library in the town.
A tender is out for a design architect for the project that's hoped to be completed by the third quarter of 2027.
