Burning Of Green Waste Alternative Must Benefit Farmers And Environment - IFA

The final exemption of the ban on green waste burning is set to end in November.

Farmers are constantly being asked to do more when it comes to the environment.

That's according to former chair of the Westmeath IFA, Bernie McMarthy, as a permanent ban on the burning of green waste is set to come into place.

The final exemption of the ban will be in place from the start of September until the end of November.

Environment Minister Eamon Ryan is to consider alternatives to getting rid of green waste material, and Ms. McCarthy says they must help both farmers and the environment:
