Business Minister Urging Small Midlands Companies To Get Online

It follows this morning's announcement that DPD Ireland is expanding in Westmeath.

The Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation is urging small businesses in the midlands to get themselves online.

It follows the announcement that parcel delivery company DPD Ireland's expansion in Westmeath will generate 60 new jobs and will allow 22,000 parcels an hour to go through its Athlone hub.

Minister Heather Humphreys believes the investment at the company is a direct result of a rise in online shopping.

She says government will support businesses through the trading online voucher scheme:
