Gardaí collected €32m in fees using speed cameras over the past two and a half years.
We need more varied opinions on where funding from Garda speeding vans can be targeted.
That's the view of Ireland South MEP Cynthia Ní Mhúrchú, after figures revealed to her showed Gardaí collected €32m in fees using speed cameras over the past two and a half years.
Private speed camera operators in that time cost €44m, with Westmeath Gardai collecting over one million euro alone in fees since 2023.
