Calls For Justice Minister To Intervene As Illegal Encampments Appear In Offaly

A local councillor is raising the concerns in one area in particular.

There are calls for the Justice Minister to visit an Offaly town, in relation to illegal encampments.

Councillor Tony McCormack is raising the concerns, and is urging Minister Helen McEntee to provide clarification on the legislation that governs establishing camps.

He says anti-social behaviour is becoming increasingly frequent in Church Hill, a private estate in Tullamore.
