Calls For New Offaly Fire Station To Be Built As Part Of Social Housing Development

€14 million has been set aside in this year's budget for the development of fire services. 

There are calls for a new fire station in an Offaly town to be part of a social housing development. 

Fianna Fáil councillor Frank Moran says the site near Clara, earmarked for 38 unit housing estate, has also been identified as a preferred location for the station.
