Calls Made For Clearer Referral System For Children With Complex Needs

The Department’s Access and Inclusion programme is closing some early intervention classes.

A Midlands childcare provider is urging the Government to impliment a clearer national model of referral for children with complex needs.

It comes as The Department's of Children and Access and Inclusion programme is phasing out or closing some early intervention classes in order to create more autism units in primary schools.

The reallocations have meant preschools have had to cut some placements for those affected.
