Calls To Build Westmeath School To Tackle Waiting Lists

A local councillor says existing schools are at capacity.

There are calls for a new secondary school in a Westmeath town, with existing schools in the area at capacity.

Fianna Fáil Councillor Ken Glynn says the continued growth of Mullingar is leading to waiting lists.

He wants to see a site identified as part of the town's Local Area Plan.
