Camogie Competition Renamed To Honour Ashling Murphy

It will be known as the 'Ashling Murphy Cup'.

The Camogie Association has announced that it has named a cup in honour of Ashling Murphy.

The 23-year-old was killed while jogging along the Grand Canal in Offaly last year.

She played camogie for her local club Kilcormac/Killoughey, as well as Mary Immaculate College in Limerick.

The 'Ashling Murphy Cup' will be presented to the CCAO Third Level Camogie Division 5 winners.
