Ambassador Dennis King toured the county ,visiting Clonmacnoise and trying his hand at hurling.
The Midlands is being described as a "beautiful, beautiful, friendly place" by Canada's Irish Ambassador.
Dennis King is touring Offaly this week, trying his hand at hurling with students from Tullamore College and Killina Presentation Secondary School.
Ambassador King also visited Clonmacnoise and heard from county councillors about renewable energy production.
He says he's also particularly taken by Offaly's famous whiskey distillery:
