Fianna Fáil hold both top spots in two MDs in the region.
There's been a shake-up at Municipal District Cathaoirleach level in two midlands counties.
In Athlone and Moate, Green Party Councillor Louise Heavin will take over as Cathaoirleach, with Independent rep Paul Hogan taking up the mantle as Leas Cathaoirleach.
It's an all-Fianna Fáil affair in Mullingar and Kinnegad, with John Shaw becoming the new Mayor, while Bill Collentine will step in as Deputy.
Fianna Fáil also hold the top spots in Tullamore, with Declan Harvey and Tony McCormack taking over as Cathoirleach and Leas Cathaoirleach, respectively.
Fine Gael's John Clendennen will take the mantle of Cathaoirleach in Birr, with Fianna Fails Peter Ormond selected as Leas Cathaoirleach.
The changes in Edenderry will be announced later this week, and the Laois Municipal Districts to follow shortly.
