There's 17,000 more people employed in the region compared to 2016.
6 in 10 people on average in the midlands are working.
Analysis of last year's Census by the CSO shows around two thirds of men in the region are in employment, and just over half of women.
The report also shows over 17,000 more people were working in the 2022 Census, when compared to the survey in 2016.
It also states over 7,000 people in the region regularly work from home.
