Change In Cultural Attitude To Irish Language Increasing Demand For Schools

That's the view of a current teacher in the Gaelscoil system.

There's been a positive change in attitude towards the Irish language in the last twenty years. 

That's the view of Resource and Learning Support Teacher at the Gaelscoil Tromaire, Mountrath Colm MacDonnacha - who believes people are discovering a newfound pride in the language. 

Education Minister Joe McHugh this week announced plans to double the number of students attending Irish speaking schools in the next decade.
