Childminders Ireland Ask Government To Extend Tusla Registration Deadline

From September next year, it will be mandatory for childminders to register with the agency.

Childminders Ireland is warning the government there will be a flight of workers in the sector if it persists with its Tusla registration deadline.

From September next year, it will be mandatory to register with the agency, with a three year transition period currently in place.

As of April this year, only 15 Midlands childminders have registered with Tusla to look over a collective 3,700 children in the region.
