'Clear And Urgent' Need For Support Deaf And Hard Of Hearing Children

A discussion took place at Leinster House on the matter.

There is a 'clear and urgent need' for an upgrade in supports for deaf and hard of hearing children.

That was the outcome of a round-table discussion on on the Education Needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students at Leinster House

Organisations are calling for the appointment native Irish Language Signers and deaf tutors, support and supervision services and proper guidelines for family's on the curriculum.
