Concerns Raised Over Garda Productivity As Crowe Report Highlights Unprofessionalism

The report found that members of An Garda Siochana do the bare minimum when at work.

The Garda Organisation's job is to serve the public regardless of what the situation is, according to a former detective based in Westmeath.

It follows an independent report, which found Gardaí were unproductive, demotivated and deliberately putting in a poor performance when tasked with roads policing.

The report also found that a number of Gardaí were already thinking about their retirements and their pensions.
