People in the Midlands are being asked for their opinions on a new greenway.

Local authorities in Laois and Offaly are co-operating with Kildare to examine six potential routes from Monasterevin to Portarlington.

A public information event will take place in Portarlington Enterprise Centre from 6pm to 8pm next Wednesday to gather people's views.

Submissions for the study have now opened with the deadline for submissions set for 4 pm on Friday December 19th.
