ESB Networks says its crews will mobilise again at first light this morning after power outages mostly in parts of the east and south east.
Thousands of people are currently without power around the country.
There are big faults being reported in Dublin, with more than 500 customers affected in Swords.
While in Curraglass in Cork, nearly 900 people are without power.
And just over 700 people are currently without power in parts of Limerick.
Power has been restored to almost 500 properties in Birr.
