The project aims to raise awareness for the Irish Cancer Society.
The midlands will soon be home to a new 'Daffodil Bench'.
The project has been launched by the Irish Cancer Society to promote information about their services.
The seat, which will be located on the South Circular Route in Portlaoise, will be painted yellow and have a QR code attached to send people directly to their website.
The initiative will be rolled out across the country with the first one being unveiled in Skerries last November.
