The training exercise will take place from today until Wednesday.
The Defence Forces is advising the public of a training exercise planned for the Midlands.
It will take place at the Lanesborough Power Station on the Roscommon/Longford border and runs from today until early Wednesday afternoon.
Military personnel and equipment will be present in the area and nearby.
Blank ammunition and fire-based training aids may be used but no live ammo will be on site.
The army has reassured locals the exercise is carefully planned to avoid disruption.
