Delays In Laois Homes 'A Joke,' Says Councillor

33 homes were promised to families last August, but aren't expected to be filled until October of this year.

33 homes who were promised to people in Laois a year ago, are still unoccupied.

The homes in Clonroosk Abbey, Portlaoise were due to be handed over to tenants in August of last year, but keys aren't expected to be handed over until October of this year.

Issues with water supply, electricity connection and development contracts have caused the delay.

Sinn Féin Councillor Caroline Dwane-Stanley says the situation is a 'joke':
