The Irish Delirium Awareness Flag will be launched at the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore tomorrow as part of the global Pass the Flag campaign to raise awareness about the medical condition.
Delirium is a sudden change in a person's mental state, causing confusion or sleepiness, with 30% per cent of older adults in hospital settings affected and is often mistaken for dementia.
