Deportation Of Student From The Midlands Postponed For 10 Days

It follows a campaign including a petition and a protest in Dublin.

A deportation order for a Carlow College student is being postponed for 10 days. 

A petition with over 1100 signatures calling on Laois TD and Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan to rescind the order was handed over during a protest in Dublin two weeks ago. 

Malawi born Michael Usiku wishes to finish his studies before returning to Africa. 

Michael's case is now under review and he will have a final answer on January the 8th.
