Disposable Income Rises Sharply Across The Midlands Over Decade

Westmeath saw the largest increase.

People's purchasing power in the Midlands grew substantially over a 10 year period.

New figures from the CSO show people's disposable income in Westmeath grew by 30% to €20,400 in 2023 when compared to 2013.

It jumped 31% to 18,800 in Offaly, and by 28% in the same time period in Laois to €17,800.
