The Portarlington rep recently stepped away from the party.
The Sinn Féin Leader says the door is "still open" for a Laois Councillor who recently resigned from the party.
Portarlington's Aidan Mullins stepped away from the party last month, claiming it had attempted to silence him for his views on migration.
Those claims have been denied by Sinn Féin's Finance Spokesperson, Pearse Doherty.
Mr. Mullins also said the party had "lost its way," but Leader, Mary Lou McDonald, is disputing that:
