The latest meeting of the Joint Policing Committee has revealed an increase of 153% in Athlone, while in Mullingar, that figure is 96%.
That's in comparison to the final quarter of 2022.
However, both towns saw a decline in drugs found for personal use - Athlone's numbers were down from 72 cases to 64, and in Mullingar numbers dropped from 342 to 185.
