Drugs Worth €1.2m Found In A Ditch In The Midlands

No one has been arrested.

Cannabis worth over €1.2 million euro has been found in a ditch in Laois.

Gardaí from Arles and Ballylinan supported by the county's Divisional Drugs Unit located drugs a secondary road on the Carlow border yesterday evening. 

This seizure of 62kg of cannabis herb is believed to have a street value of €1.24 million and was found as a result of an intelligent-led operation.

Investigations are ongoing but no arrests have been made.
