€21m Being Invested Into The Development Of EV Recharging Infrastructure

The aim is to have recharging facilities every 60km on major roads.

A €21m grant scheme's been launched to boost the development of Electric Vehicle recharging infrastructure.

It aims to encourage the private sector to provide high powered recharging pools every 60 kilometres along major roads by 2025.

The M6 and M7 will be among the roads to benefit from the investment.

Minister for the Transport Eamon Ryan says it will assure drivers they have accessible and rapid charging facilities on their journeys.
