€22.5m In Rural Regeneration Funding Still Unspent Across Midlands

The largest amount of unspent money is in Offaly.

Over €22.5 million of Rural Regeneration and Development Fund allocations remain unspent in the midlands since 2020. 

The funds supports large-scale projects designed to promote sustainable economic and social development in rural communities. 

€12.5 million remains unspent in Offaly since 2020, the largest amount in the midlands.

Since 2021, just over €5 million has remained unspent in Westmeath, while the figure is just under €5 million in Laois.
