Centre Parcs is facing insurance hikes in Longford

Public liability Insurance for the Midlands newest tourist attraction is 50% more than at its other locations in the UK.

Centre Parcs is dealing with the increased rate for premiums in Ireland because of its outdoor activity based ethos.

The €233m development opened its doors to guests in July.

The Irish Independent reports a spokesperson declined to comment on whether the cost of insurance would have an impact on the long term future of the site.
