Drugs were bound for addresses across the country including Westmeath.
Revenue has seized more than €276,000 worth of cannabis and ecstasy in Athlone.
As a result of routine operations on Thursday and Friday, Revenue officers examining parcels at a premises in Athlone seized over 13kgs of herbal cannabis and a small amount of ecstasy.
The illegal drugs were discovered concealed in parcels that came from multiple locations across mainland Europe and were going to be sent across Ireland.
The parcels were destined for addresses in Dublin, Roscommon, Waterford, Westmeath and Wicklow.
Investigations are ongoing.
This seizure is part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting the importation of illegal drugs.
